Me, Vito Rondinone, a local guide working as a freelancer. If I’m available, I will personally guide your tour. If I’m not available, I can recommend a trusted colleague if you’d like.
How do we confirm the tour?
The tour is confirmed when I send you a written confirmation via WhatsApp or email after you contact me. You can request a date and time, and I’ll let you know if I’m available.
Can we include specific sites or topics in the tour?
Absolutely! Since the tours are private, I can tailor the experience to focus on the sites or topics that interest you most. Just let me know what you’d like to see or learn about, and I’ll customize the tour for you.
Can we choose our tour start time?
Yes, since these are private tours, you can choose the start time that suits you best, depending on my availability.
Where to park in Matera?
I recommend parking at Via Pasquale Vena Parking: Parcheggio di Via Pasquale Vena. Multi-storey garage open 24/7 (paid, €1.00/hour).
What if we need to cancel or reschedule the tour?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible. I understand that plans can change, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your new schedule.
Where do we meet for the tour?
The suggested meeting point is Piazzetta Pascoli: Piazzetta Pascoli, Matera. It’s a great starting point for the tour. However, if you prefer, I can also meet you at your hotel as long as it’s located in the Sassi or the city center.
What if it rains on the day of the tour?
If the weather is bad, we can discuss options for rescheduling or adjusting the tour. I’ll do my best to ensure you have a great experience, regardless of the weather.
